COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY
Play for Purpose was a charity event hosted by LA Clippers coach Ty Lue’s Commitment to Community organization. Held at the Intuit Dome, the evening featured an immersive speakeasy-themed casino night, complete with live entertainment, a silent auction, and opportunities to connect with changemakers from Lue’s hometown of Mexico, MO. The event successfully raised funds to support ongoing initiatives uplifting communities in Los Angeles.
EVENT DESIGN
This event was meant to take guests back in time to prohibition and create a swanky environment. For the design, I pulled from recognizable art deco elements from the era and created signage that served as a beautiful backdrop to the casino. I created a video that looped throughout the night highlighting Black artistry from the ‘20s until today. It was a stunning homage to the contribution of African-American musicians and actors across the decades.
